Selecting corals for you reef: What is your mix of SPS, LPS, and Softies?
Selecting corals for your reef: What is your mix of SPS, LPS, and Softies? Whether your thing is sticks, torches, hammers, anemones, or another type of coral, have you put a heavy emphasis on that type of coral in your tank or have you put together a mixed reef? Sometimes our tank just kind of...

Confused about LPS and SPS and softies. | Reef2Reef
Softies: Xenia, GSP, Mushrooms (Mushrooms are actually called corallimorphs and more closely related to anemones but we'll group them here) LPS: Duncan,, Frogspawn, Hammers (all relatively similar in care requirements) Soft corals have no hard skeleton and their whole body is soft to the touch. When bothered they shrink/shrivel up.

Best Par and photo period for LPS and Softies | Reef2Reef
I’m looking to know the best photo period or time of peak lighting and ideal par for my lps and limited softies. My radon xr15 have a peak lighting period from 12pm to 5pm then they dim down from there. I’m running AB+ at 60 percent and I’m getting about 100 to 200 par. Is this too much light ?
